Abel Systems has been at the forefront of demountable system manufacture in the UK for many years and has such has earned itself an enviable reputation for providing logistics solutions to companies large and small throughout the country.

All operations carried out at Abels from design through to completion are in house, enabling us to have entire control of the production schedule. Offering a “one-stop-shop” to customers gives us accountability and customers peace of mind.

At Abel we pride ourselves on making sure our builds are manufactured exactly for the purpose intended. With a philosophy of ‘right first time’, we promptly create product models using the latest Solidworks 3D Software. Solidworks 3D provides accurate knowledge of final product weights, dimensions and capacities before materials are cut.

When built, our “End of Process” includes, painting, decaling, system training, operating and maintenance instructions. Abel treats this as the most critical process which ensures that the vehicle is fit for purpose and meets the client’s expectation both visually and mechanically. Before releasing any truck, a thorough PDI assessment is done to ensure all equipment meets our BS EN ISO 9001:2015 quality standards process.

As a wholly owned subsidiary of Wheelbase Engineering Ltd, Abel Systems have the added benefit of expertise in other areas upon which it can draw, allowing them to develop into yet another product line well suited to their specialist skills, that being chassis modification. The modification of a chassis can take many forms, from the extension or reduction of a wheelbase to the addition of extra axles and on to highly technical modifications involving changes to braking systems, electrics, and the steering mechanism, all of which are now possible under the banner of Abel Systems.

Established in 1962 Abel was formed on its present site at Tupton, Nr. Chesterfield, Derbyshire.
Our demountable systems have been developed over the past 40+ YEARS culminating in the totally reliable Abel twin pneumatic demountable system manufactured today.
Abel now has a dedicated and independent bodyshop in Stonebroom, Derbyshire which is able to cater for all customers body requirements.
We also have our very own in house shot blaster enabling all our products to be built from a clean keyed surface.
Following recent investment at our Tupton site we are now able to finish paint as well as prime all our products in our new two bayed paintshop.
The range of our products we offer also includes drawbar and semi-trailers. For improved operating flexibility and outstanding versatility Abel offers several types of system to maximise efficiency from 3.5 tonnes to 44 tonnes.
Abel incorporated the Marsden Vanplan brand in 2006 and now cater for any design the furniture removal industry requires and can provide accurate delivery times with high quality craftsmanship.
